Relatively cold hardy and quick growing in frost-free locations,
growing to 2-3m. In the garden, this plant is best cut back annually in late winter as this encourages new growth in spring. Generally flowers within one year, bananas are pink and self-peel on the small bunch as they mature. Edible flesh but too many seeds to make a meal of it.
