Green fingerlime seeds x 5

It’s important to remember that seeds can take anywhere from ten to fifteen years to produce fruit, so this is not a fast option. Most customers purchase these with the intention to use them for rootstock for grafting older already producing trees. We want our customers to be aware of this when purchasing so they can make an informed decision regarding the purchase.

The seeds are extremely fresh ( harvested, cleaned and sold within a week ) but very limited as the fruit itself sells well. If some of the seeds are thin, I add extra seeds to ensure you’ll get the same amount of viable seeds. Please ensure to sow these immediately as citrus seed needs to be fresh.

Finger limes are growing in popularity, especially in culinary circles. The tart citrus fruit is used in desserts, drinks, and sauces. The flesh of finger limes have the consistency of caviar and range in color from green to pink to champagne. You can plant the seed directly in a pot of soil or place it in a plastic bag. Before planting lime seeds, however, be sure to wash them and you may even want to allow them to dry for a couple days, then plant them as soon as possible. Plant seeds about ¼ to ½ inch it’s important to keep the soil lightly damp but not soggy at all times. Do not allow soil to dry out.

  • Germination

Plant your seeds as soon as possible after receiving them. Plant seeds about ¼ to ½ inch deep, and remember it’s important to keep the soil damp but not soggy at all times. I like to use a semi transparent plastic container upside down over the pot to create a humidity dome that won’t let them burn, then place the pot on a dish I can put water in on a sunny windowsill. Germination can take a couple of weeks. Be careful to avoid fungal issues, from lack of airflow and overwatering.
