  • Dusty Miller ( Cineraria Silverdust )

Cineraria Silver Dust (commonly known as Dusty Miller) is a hardy, drought-tolerant perennial often grown as an annual for its striking silvery-white foliage. It thrives in full sun and well-draining soil, making it a popular choice for borders, mixed beds, and container arrangements where its soft, velvety leaves contrast beautifully with colorful flowers. This low-maintenance plant requires little watering once established and benefits from occasional trimming to maintain its compact shape. Dusty Miller is resistant to most pests and diseases, though overly wet conditions can lead to root rot.

    • Germination

To propagate from seed, sow indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost, pressing the tiny seeds lightly into the surface of a seed-starting mix without covering them, as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil consistently moist and maintain a temperature of around 18–21°C (65–70°F). Germination typically occurs within 10–15 days, after which seedlings can be transplanted outdoors once all danger of frost has passed.

    • Approximate minimum seed count per pack

We supply a small ziplock bag of seed. We estimate each order has a minimum of 50 seeds.
